Holoneya was not born out of a desire to create yet another personal development method. It began with a much simpler question—and with a genuine desire to create real change in our own lives, rather than simply thinking that we should change.
Why is real transformation so difficult, even when we want it with all our hearts?
Officially, Holoneya was founded on January 26, 2026. However, that date was preceded by decades of searching, experimentation, and discovery—efforts to find a path back to ourselves, so that we could become masters of our own lives instead of living on autopilot, driven by automatic reactions.
Like many people, we spent years searching for answers. We studied a wide range of personal development methods, worked with experienced teachers and practitioners, and supported many people on their own journeys of growth.
We experienced firsthand the power of mental imagery, affirmations, visualization, meditation, mindfulness practices, and many other approaches. All of them have the potential to shift perspectives, expand awareness, and create meaningful change. Yet one question kept returning.
Why do certain patterns continue to repeat, even when a person understands them?
Why can someone know exactly what they want to do differently, sincerely want to change, and still discover that, in a difficult situation, they react exactly as they always have?
Gradually, we began to realize that the problem was not a lack of knowledge, willpower, or motivation. We understood that it was not because people were not trying hard enough or did not know enough. Rather, our nervous systems were simply not yet ready to receive that new understanding. Sometimes they were unable to process a particular situation, and sometimes the nervous system simply did not believe what the conscious mind had already accepted.
A person may consciously embrace a new perspective, yet their nervous system continues to respond according to an old survival pattern. In those moments, neither making a new decision nor repeating a positive affirmation is necessarily enough, because the body does not yet experience that new reality as safe.
And when the body does not feel safe, lasting change cannot truly take root.
We realized that, alongside the question, “Which belief or thought needs to change?”, we also needed to answer another: “What does the nervous system need right now for this change to feel genuinely safe?”
That question became the foundation of Holoneya.
A Method Born Through Practice
Holoneya was not created from one person’s idea or designed behind a desk. It evolved over many years through experimentation, collaboration, and extensive practical work with real people.
The entire Holographic Master course community played an active role in mapping this new system—at least sixteen people in total. Our current core team—Martti, Merilin, Nele, and Helli-Tiiu—worked closely together to identify patterns, test new approaches, and explore how to support change in a way that would become part of everyday life rather than remain only a beautiful idea.
At the same time, every participant played an important role in shaping the method. Among us were therapists and practitioners from many different disciplines who shared their experience, tested various tools, and helped us discover what truly works—and what does not.
We were all united by one central question: “How can we work with the nervous system instead of trying to force it to change?”. That became one of the core principles of Holoneya.
The Body Is Constantly Communicating with Us
We believe the body is constantly providing us with information. It shows us where we feel safe, where tension arises, and in which situations old protective patterns become activated. Most of us have simply never learned how to read this language.
Over the years, we have mapped the body’s and nervous system’s responses and developed a comprehensive knowledge framework that helps identify and understand these patterns.
Holoneya does not tell people who they are. It is a system that helps people discover that for themselves.
Through carefully designed processes, people begin to understand why a particular pattern was created, how it once protected them, and what their nervous system needs today to choose a different response.
The goal is not simply to think differently, but to create the conditions in which the body, the nervous system, and conscious awareness begin working together.
A Living and Evolving System
Holoneya is not—and never will be—a finished method. It evolves together with the people whose lives it touches.
Just as science continues to deepen our understanding of human psychology, physiology, and the nervous system, we continue learning as well. It is important to us that Holoneya remains a living system—one that continually integrates new knowledge with real-world practical experience.
For us, success is not simply when someone gains a new insight. Success is when that change becomes visible in everyday life.
Can you remain calm during a difficult conversation?
Can you maintain healthy boundaries without feeling guilty?
Can you notice a moment of conscious choice before an automatic reaction takes over?
Can you stay connected to yourself even in stressful situations?
Because it is in these small, ordinary moments that inner transformation truly becomes visible.
Mastery is not about controlling life. Mastery is about learning to work with your body, your nervous system, and your inner world so that even in life’s most challenging moments, you can remain true to yourself.
That is the essence of Holoneya.
